The hockey season didn’t begin till the Red Wings took the ice tonight in HockeyTown!!! I can’t tell you how pumped I am for this team. It has been 310 days since I’ve watched this team, Yes I know what you’re saying “Sean the Red Wings are terrible they haven’t been good since 2016”. And you’re right they haven’t but this season, this group of players and having Steve Yzerman as our GM gives me hope that they will be  better.  This team is so young with players like Larkin, Mantha, Bertuzzi, Zadina who are going to score and make this team exciting. Which is what we need in the NHL and as fans! The problem is and for some reason will always be Defense. I have no idea why on gods green earth these guys can’t seem to play defense but it blows my mind and makes me drink. All I want for this shortened season is for the Red Wings to show improvement aka don’t be dead last in the league and I’m pretty confident they won’t be. Lets Go Red Wings baby
